You probably already know this, but Gore’s “The Assault on Reason” is out in paperback. Not sure how long it’s been since release, but saw it with my own eyes two days ago in Joseph-Beth. Thought it might be useful for future PS 101 ventures.
Didn’t know it was out in paper. Thanks for the tip! I used Assault on Reason in PS 101 this Spring, and it went surprisingly well. A few of the more conservative students were instantly turned off by it, but it sparked a few interesting conversations and comments among the rest.
The release of a cheaper paperback may push me into using it again this fall. I also used Armstrong and Moulitsas’ Crashing the Gate and H.S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail. Good times, good times.
