Holy shit, this was a fantastic speech.
I’m not ashamed to say I teared up a bit on this one. Normally I’m pretty cynical about politics and speeches in general. One doesn’t stay a political scientist for long and not, at least to some degree. But I’ll admit: what I heard in this speech is the beginning of something I’ve been waiting my entire life to hear.
I might not agree with all of his policies or perspectives on government, but I can absolutely stand behind the idea of bringing all of us together for a common good. Even an anarchist can stand to be inspired one and a while.
